SPINEXPO SHANGHAI 9-11 MARCH 2015

Attracting 9,364 visitors, up from the previous S/S session, the majority of those visiting the 25th edition of SPINEXPO Shanghai to discover the 155 exhibitors on show hailed from mainland China. Those attending from other countries provided stable footfall that is steadily on the rise.

Concentrating on a cross-pollination of products through a technically crafted mix of yarns, stitches, knitwear, weaving and jersey, innovation is paramount along with a focus on techniques and function. Manufacturers focused heavily on the importance of supporting future developments.

Eva de Laat Studio and Future Lab by Borre present the beginnings of a more functional and directional approach to activewear textiles with the aid of Santoni's technological innovation.

Other highlights included a focus on green not only as a colour statement for S/S 16, but to tap into its ecological connotations and the notion of 'green' in regards to production.
